Entering a Circus / Carousel / Rota / Rotation

I have a Circus / Carousel / Rota / Rotation / Round Robin : How do I enter it in TimeTabler ?

These are alternative names for a simple curricular structure that is often used in Technology, and which allows students to rotate around different groups during the year.

-- For example: suppose you have 2 Forms / Tutor-Groups / Registration-Groups called 7A and 7B, and for one double period each week they come together and are split into 3 Teaching Groups for Technology.

The groups might be:
- Food Technology, taught by teacher FTe
- Textiles, taught by teacher TEx
- Electronics, taught by teacher ELe

The intention is that students will study each of these subjects during the course of the year.
They are divided into 3 groups.  The first group might study Food Technology for 12 weeks, then do 12 weeks of Textiles, followed by 12 weeks of Electronics ... and similarly for the other 2 groups, each one 'rotating' after 12 weeks.

-- Scheduling: This sounds complicated but in fact from a curriculum diagram and scheduling point of view it is easy to represent.   All we need to do is schedule an activity that looks like this:
7AB      D      FTe TEx ELe

ie. we schedule all 3 teachers at the same time [for a Double with 7AB, in 3 rooms].
Then the Technology staff can organise themselves to rotate round the groups, changing every 12 weeks.

Note: if you wish to keep a note that this activity is a carousel, see the option to do this on the right-click of the Curriculum Dagram.

Note on MIS: In most schools, the staff/department are expected to inform the office staff of the change-over dates so that the school's MIS [Admin System] can be adjusted at the end of each 12-week period, to show the students in the correct teaching-group and room, in case they need to be located, and for attendance / reporting purposes, etc.

If you have any questions about this, let us know.
