TimeTabler (and Options and StaffCover) is best installed on the hard-disc of a Windows PC or laptop.
However, some schools install elsewhere, as explained below:
-- a) On an Apple Mac or similar - see this article.
-- b) On another device. The key here is that the program must be installed in the same folder where the subfolder "Data" (containing all your data) is installed. Click on this link for more detailed instructions.
But even many non-Windows schools will have and use a (single) PC/laptop for timetabling ... because timetabling tends to be a standalone task performed by one person.
