Special Locations
How do they work?
You can create a list of Special Locations for your school, and then use them in place of the class in any activity. They behave like a class but they have no students. They can represent anything that a teacher "does" which is not teaching a class of students. Like a class, each Special Location cannot be double-booked / in two activities at the same time.
Why are they useful ?
Special Locations can be used for a variety of timetabling 'tricks', and enable you to describe timetabling requirements that would otherwise be hard to schedule. See section C19 and sections H4-7 in the manual for more details and examples.
