Covering a Special Location [SC]

Is an Activity stored as a Special Location (in TimeTabler) covered by StaffCover ?

Special Locations are not normally covered by StaffCover.  But occasionally a Special Location does need covering, if the teacher is away.
Examples of Special Locations where you may wish to do this are 'Duty' or 'Support Base'.

You can handle this in StaffCover by following these steps:

  1   Go to 'Customize Overview -> Basic data -> List of Classes' and add an extra ('dummy') Class that will be used to represent the Special Location.  For example:

  2   Then go to 'Timetable -> Make a small change' ... click on the 'Global change to' button and select 'Global change SpecLoc to Class'.
Pick the Special Location you wish to change, and the new Class you want to move its lessons to (eg: 'Duty').  When you click Apply it does a global conversion of that specific Special Location to that specific Class.

That class will thereafter be covered when its teacher is absent.

Alternatively, you may be able to use one of these features:
- Special Duties or
- Additional Notes or
- Specific Date Notes
