Joined / Joint / Merged Classes

In StaffCover, when classes (usually small ones) are joined together in order to reduce the number of covering teachers required, then the XML Export file at ‘Review -> Export -> to XML for Third-Parties’ will include both teachers being covered for.   This has the advantage that if your MIS or internal systems are importing the XML file, then the covering teacher will be able to do the attendance for all the students in the new joined class, instead of having to do it separately for the two classes with absent teachers.

How does it work ?
This example illustrates: The teacher (CJ) taking class 8A in room 27 is absent.  A coverer (HB) has been asked to cover 9C (usually taught by JW) and take them to room 27.  
When you go to ‘Review -> Export -> to XML for Third-Parties’, the XML file created will say that HB is covering for CJ(8A) as well as for JW(9C).

This feature is especially used in Malta.
