Installing (to the Cloud)

Once you have installed TimeTabler on your computer you may be considering that it would be easier to have it installed in your synced cloud storage (eg: Dropbox or OneDrive or Google Drive, etc) and run TimeTabler from there as it would allow you to access the latest data all of the time.

This is true as long as there is only you accessing the data and you can rely on the sync between your devices and the cloud storage.

A word of caution

TimeTabler is not a multi-user program, as it doesn't make logical sense from a timetable-viewpoint to have two people trying to schedule simultaneously.  Please see this article for further information about Multi-user and Multi-access.

Note : If you allow other users to access TimeTabler in your cloud storage area you are opening yourself up to losing the changes you are making!  The last person to save will make the changes that are remembered.

How to Install to the Cloud   (if you decide to do this)

Install TimeTabler on your computer first.

Browse to the drive it has been installed on (C:\ is the default)

Find the TT4Win folder and copy it.

Paste the TT4Win folder into your cloud storage.

To run TimeTabler you will need to have synced your cloud storage to your computer so that it can download the folder and files to your computer.  Really it is still running TimeTabler locally (ie. on your own computer) but allowing you to sync back to your cloud storage.

Double click on the TT4W.exe file inside the TT4Win folder in your cloud storage synced folder on your computer, this will then run TimeTabler.

You should still backup your TimeTabler data regularly (this saves the current version of the data).

Note:
The same advice applies for our other software: Options and StaffCover.
