Transferring your TimeTabler data between 2 machines/computers
(eg: when moving between work/school and home).
Step 1
On the machine with the latest data, make a Backup on to a USB memory-stick (or in a folder on your PC/laptop, or elsewhere).
To do this click on the Backup button (on the opening screen of TimeTabler) or go to File->TT-Backup.
This creates a single file on your memory-stick called "TT4Data.Bak".
(You may also want to Save your data in the Auto-Backup Library at the same time.)
Step 2
Take the memory-stick to the other machine. (Or email it to yourself at home/work - or use 'Dropbox'** or similar).
Go to File->TT-Restore and follow the on-screen instructions to load in the data from the memory-stick.
Note: this will overwrite the data on this machine ... so you may want to play safe by first saving the data on this machine in its Auto-Backup Library.
These steps are explained further in HelpMovie number 10.
Click here to see the HelpMovies ... or go to "Help -> Help-movies" in TimeTabler.
**To use 'Dropbox', search the KnowledgeBase for 'Dropbox'.
Or for more information, search on the words "Dropbox", "Backup" and "Restore".
