Telling StaffCover what date(s) a Techer is Absent
Q. If a teacher is absent today, they also seem to be absent on the next day and I have to delete their absences from the subsequent day when the software advises me to “Go to tomorrow”.
Is there a way of automatically deleting staff absences? They were only entered absent for one day.
A. The "End date" checkbox should help - if it is an absence of known duration (eg: a trip to the Dentist, or a Field trip), then you should tick the box ... you will then be prompted to enter the date the absence ends.
If it is an absence of unknown duration (eg: illness) then you should not tick the box. The absence then remains each day until the teacher returns, whereupon you manually delete it.
