Transferring Blocks of subjects from Options to TimeTabler
When you have finished creating your Option Blocks in Options, you may wish to then:
A export the Group Populations (students' names) of each group into SIMS or iSAMS or Bromcom or CloudSchool/Progresso (Cloud School) or WCBS/PASS etc, and/or:
B export the Pattern / Structure of the Blocks into TimeTabler (ie: which subjects are in each block).
To do A see the separate instructions for your MIS.
To export the B Pattern / Structure:
-- 1) In Options, go to Export -> Export to TimeTabler (the information is placed in a file called Options_TT.txt).
-- 2) In TimeTabler , go to Activities -> Curriculum Diagram Screen for the Batch into which you want to import the Blocks.
At the upper-right of that screen click on Import from Options and follow the on-screen instructions.
Once the Blocks have been imported into TimeTabler you can:
-- Edit the period-breakdown (DSS etc) as required, and:
-- You can add/choose the Staff that are to teach these subjects.
This information is also in the TimeTabler and Options HelpScreens.
You can find it by typing Options import into the Index of the TimeTabler HelpScreen,
and by typing Export to TimeTabler into the Index of the Options HelpScreen.
