Pre-booked Cover - why is a pre-booked teacher not being chosen to cover ?
Are your pre-booked staff being replaced by Supply Teachers, when you calculate today's cover ? But you want your pre-booked covers to be used, rather than the Supply Teachers ?
If so, go to "Customize -> Supply Teacher Rules" and make sure that "Use Supply Teacher over pre-booked cover" is unticked.
A lot of schools want any Supply teacher who is in school today to take cover wherever possible (because the school is paying for them), as a priority over any member of staff (even if those staff were pre-booked).
But some schools say "No, pre-booked cover should be upheld, because it's too difficult to inform people that their cover has changed".
So StaffCover allows a school to adopt either approach (or even to change approach on any given day).
