StaffCover: Teacher away for several weeks or months [SC]

Question: I have a member of staff who will be off for several weeks. We have a replacement teacher coming in to take over all her lessons.   How should I handle this in StaffCover / swap their timetables ?
Answer:   If (say) the old teacher is called AA and the new/replacement teacher is called BB, then you could do either of the following:

Method-1:

1) Take a Backup onto a USB-stick or similar, using “File -> SC-Backup” (just so you can go back if you need to)
2) Go to "Customize Overview -> Basic Data -> Teacher Details". click "New" and add the new teacher "BB" to your list of teachers (and include all BB's details)
3) Then go to "Customize Overview -> Timetable -> Make a small change" - this screen allows you to edit the timetable manually, yourself.
4) Click on 'Copy / Move / Swap timetables' and complete the boxes to move all of AA's timetable over to BB.
5) When AA returns, you can copy BB's timetable back to AA.

Method-2:

1) Take a Backup onto a USB-stick or similar, using “File -> SC-Backup” (just so you can go back if you need to)
2) Go to "Customize Overview -> Basic Data -> Teacher Details", double-click on "AA" and change her details to BB's details (initials, name, etc).   AA will now have become BB, and have her timetable.
3) When AA returns, change BB's details back to AA's.

Which method you use may depend on whether you wish BB to inherit AA's cover parameters (cover loading, cover done, etc): if so use Method-2.
But if you want BB to be a completely new person with no cover done so far, you may prefer to use Method-1.

Any questions, let us know.
