The 'Advanced' button on the Master Class Timetable and Individual Class Timetable printout screens, allows you to customize and fine-tune how your class timetable will look. See the Manual - and the Help button - for more details.
-- Example setting: Class Pattern:
With this setting you can choose how you wish to present your combined classes (eg: 7AB or 7CD or 7ABCD, etc). The meanings of the 3 possible “Class Patterns” are explained in Section J15 in the Manual, and if you click the Help button ... but taking a Class 7ABCD as an example:
Setting | Effect | Reason for choosing |
Exclusive |
you see a separate row for 7ABCD, which displays only 7ABCD’s lessons |
enables you to look along the 7ABCD 'row' and check all the lessons for that specific class |
Inclusive |
7ABCD’s lessons are shown vertically across 7A, 7B, 7C and 7D |
This is most like what your staff & students would expect to see |
All- Inclusive |
you are shown all lessons across the whole year (Year 7, in this example). |
This is the most vertically compact timetable |
