My AutoBackup files are missing

I can't find my Auto Backup files

If you made some AutoBackups, but can't see them in the location where the AutoBackup is now pointing, then you need to find out where it used to point, and change the program to point there, when you should be able to Restore a good version of the timetable, as follows...

(The default is for the archives when the program is first installed is C:\TT4Win\Archives but you can choose any other folder you wish, as explained below.)

1.
To find out where the archives are, do a 'Windows Search' for 'Archive.TT4'.
This is the name of an archive file, so the search will probably tell you 2 locations, one of which will be the current location, and the other will be where all the other archives are.

2.
To Restore archives from a different folder, go to File -> Customize Backup & Restore, ...then on the Right-hand side of the screen, click on 'Other' then on the 'yellow folder' to browse to the folder where the archives you wish to Restore are stored.

3.
Then go to the AutoBackup Library (as in section C15 in the Manual) and you should see all your other Backups, from which you can Restore the best one.

As you can see, it's not a good idea to change the Backup location partway through a timetabling season!
See also this further information on the AutoBackup Library.
