Entering Activities:
Q. What is the reason for having 2 ways of entering the Activities : the Curriculum Diagram Screen and the List View Screen?
A. The 'Curriculum Diagram Screen' and 'List-View Screen' make slightly different assumptions:
1. 'Curriculum Diagram Screen'
This assumes you know the Subjects/Groups you want on the Diagram, and will add these first. Then later you will add the Staff you want, to those subjects/groups.
(Actually, it does allow you to add staff at the same time, but it assumes you will probably just add the subjects first).
2. 'List-View Screen'
This assumes you know your Staff already, so it only asks you for the staff in each 'teacher-team'. To save you time in having to keep saying "Keith Johnson is teaching Physics" it automatically assigns each teacher his/her default subject (which is usually correct 95% of the time). For the 5% where a teacher is teaching his/her 'second/alternative subject', you can click on the 'Lesson Details' button and change the default subjects to these 2nd subjects.
Each method has schools who prefer it, but we'd recommend a new user uses the 'Curriculum Diagram' method, as most people find it easier to understand and it gives immediate feedback in the form of the Diagram.
Having said that, we do have quite a few people (usually those who have been using the program for longer) who find the 'List-View' quicker to input.
